MPI’s Town Center Portfolio Gives Back Over $575,000 through Community Foundation Efforts in 2010

The Town Center Community Foundations at Bayshore Town Center, The Greene Town Center, Peninsula Town Center and Zona Rosa Town Center, fund a number of youth and family-focused non-profit organizations, programs and scholarships in their communities.  In 2010, MPI’s Town Center portfolio raised over $575,000 to support this program.

Programs of the Community Foundation include:

Change for Charity
Change for Charity designates several local organizations every year to receive a portion of the meter proceeds and ticket revenues generated at the Town Centers.  The Change for Charity recipients not only receive a donation from the Community Foundations, they also receive advertising exposure in and around the center.   Since the program’s inception, over 115 local non-profit organizations have been awarded Change for Charity funds throughout the Town Center portfolio.

Event Partnerships
The Town Center Community Foundations also sponsor several events each year to support a number of youth and family-focused non-profit organizations, and programs. Events like the Taste of The Town, 5K Run for Charity, Fashion Night Out, and numerous others create a festive atmosphere at the center while supporting local charitable organizations.

Community Outreach Programs
The Town Center Community Foundations implement charitable programs throughout the year to help foster the positive development of our community’s youth and families. The Town Center Community Foundations also sponsors various non-profit events in the community, by providing financial assistance, giveaways and staff participation.
